Antimicrobial coating service provided by Baguio is using Goldshield antimicrobial technology developed by Emory University and aimed at preventing the spread of bacteria and viruses. The safety of the protectant formula is approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Health and Safety Executive (BDP), and 5 European Norms (EN1500 / 1276 / 1650 / 1656 / 1657). It is effective in killing viruses and bacteria up to 99.9% and consists of residual protection up to 90 days on surfaces. The residue is proven to be non-toxic by EPA and FDA which is a green and long-lasting protectant. It is best to apply in the area with high footfall such as residential and commercial buildings, shopping malls, offices, schools, restaurants, and public transportations.

How it works:

Comparing to traditional chemical sterilization, the physical sterilization adapted by Goldshield is more effective. After the antimicrobial coating service, the surface of the coating area is full of Goldshield’s molecules. Many microbes are negatively charged while Goldshield is positively charged therefore, as in nature, Goldshield “attract” the negatively charged microbes toward them until contact. Another part of Goldshield is a long carbon chain (needle-like) that releases an ionic charge that disrupts the microbe’s cell membrane upon contact mechanically inactivating the microbe. At the same time, the quaternary compound component of Goldshield denatures the microbe’s proteins. 

After the antimicrobial coating service, the surface of the coating area is full of Goldshield’s molecules which is in a long carbon chain (needle-like).

Negatively charged microbes are attracted by positively charged Goldshield’s molecule. An ionic charge from Goldshield’s molecules disrupt the microbe’s cell membrane.

Service flow:

Spraying disinfection is highly recommended to ensure the viruses were killed.
