2025-12-20
Baguio Green Group fielded its "Baguio FC" team comprising 13 colleagues to compete in Hong Kong's first "ESG Carbon Neutral Sevens Football Corporate Invitation Tournament" organized by iRecycle Charity Foundation. The tournament was held on December 2025, at the Hong Kong Football Association Jockey Club Football Training Centre, bringing together numerous Corporate teams. "Baguio FC" ultimately secured third place in the Silver Plate division as well as receiving the Carbon Neutral Event Participation Certification, recognizing the team's performance while commending Baguio's support for carbon neutrality and actual actions to reduce carbon footprints.
Embodying the "Sports × Sustainability × Exchange" theme, the event used footballs made from recycled automotive windshield interlayer film (rPVB polyvinyl butyral) , while trophies and medals recreated from recycled plastic. To ensure a fully carbon-neutral event, the organizers measured and offset all greenhouse gas emissions generated during the tournament. The carbon footprint was verified through professional third-party auditing, earning the SGS “Carbon Neutral Event Management Commitment Certificate.” Beyond promoting green practices, the event provided a platform for companies to share sustainability insights and foster cross-sector partnerships through friendly matches, reinforcing corporate social responsibility and collaboration for a greener future.
Baguio prioritizes employees’ physical and mental well-being while fostering a healthy work-life balance. The company encourages colleagues to build mutual trust, strengthen communication and team spirit through sports, and sustain healthy lifestyles amid demanding work schedules. As an integrated environmental services solutions provider, Baguio integrates sustainable development and carbon reduction concepts into employee activities and corporate culture. By partnering closely with employees and industry stakeholders, the Group continues to advance ESG practices to create a greener, healthier Hong Kong.
