Sustainable Development Governance

Sustainability is integrated into Baguio’s operations through a robust Sustainability Policy. A Sustainability Steering Committee is in place to provide leadership on sustainability objectives and monitor implementation progress.

To further strengthen climate-related governance, a Climate Committee is also in place to enhance our capacity in tackling climate change and managing its impacts that give rise to both risks and opportunities for our integrated environmental services.

The ESG Working Group, comprising representatives from the Group’s five business units and departments, implemented 8 initiatives under four key themes since 2024, and continues to facilitate ESG data collection, support reporting, and coordinate sustainability-related communication across the organisation.

Our Sustainability Commitment

Baguio expands its operations in a responsible and sustainable manner, aiming to create a greener tomorrow for the general public. In developing and providing professional comprehensive environmental services, it is committed to improving operational and resource utilization efficiency, and carefully managing resource consumption to reduce potential environmental impacts.

We have put forward three major environmental commitments (with the baseline year being 2016):

By 2030, a 30% reduction in the Group's total carbon emission density.
By 2030, a 30% reduction in the Group's total energy consumption density.
By 2030, increasing the Group's total recyclable waste recovery to 60%.

Policy

The Sustainable Development Policy is adopted by the Board of Directors of the Company and applies to the Company and its subsidiaries. The Group provides diversified comprehensive environmental services, including environmental hygiene and sanitation, resource recycling, waste management and collection, landscaping projects, integrated pest and disease management, green technology, green product. Therefore, the Group must clearly articulate its sustainable development philosophy to provide clear guidance for the operation of its businesses. Each subsidiary of the Group should refer to this Policy and develop appropriate management policies and operational guidelines tailored to the characteristics of their respective industries and locations.
