Upholding our Employee

Remuneration, Training and Benefits

As a caring employer, the group organises various employee activities to strengthen internal communication and foster a positive work environment. We also provide quarterly employee sports subsidies to encourage a sports culture and support their well-being. Employees can apply for subsidies for sports courses, competition registration fees, sports facility booking fees, and more.

As an equal opportunity employer, Baguio adheres to the principles of "fairness, openness, and justice" in all employment practices. We have established regulations regarding recruitment and termination, compensation, working hours, holidays, and other benefits to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Furthermore, we emphasize talent management, cultivate a sustainable talent pool, provide diverse learning and development opportunities to support the growth of employees and the company. In 2023, the group recorded a total of 23,512 training hours.

Equal Opportunity, Diversity, Anti-Discrimination

The group is committed to creating a fair, diverse, and inclusive work environment for all employees. We ensure equal treatment regardless of race, gender, skin color, family and marital status, pregnancy, or disability. Since June 2022, we have signed the "Racial Diversity and Inclusion Employer Charter" with the Equal Opportunities Commission to support and promote racial diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.

Occupational Health and Safety

Through comprehensive hazard identification and risk management approaches, we strive to ensure the occupational health and safety of all employees in every workplace. Our commitment to creating a safe and healthy work environment is reflected in our integrated management policies. Our dedicated Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality department (SHEQ department) conducts regular inspections and coordinates third-party audits to maintain strict safety standards throughout our operations. As a testament to our commitment, we have obtained ISO 45001 certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management. In 2023, our total days lost due to work injury or incidents were 17,018 days, with a work-related injury rate of 1.29 per hundred thousand work hours, and zero work-related fatalities for three consecutive years.

Preventing Heatstroke Work Plan

With the increasing severity of extreme weather events, Baguio analyzes climate-related risks and probabilities to assess their impact on the group's daily operations. For example, extreme weather events increase the risk of heatstroke among employees. Therefore, we have developed a "Preventing Heatstroke Work Plan" and implemented risk assessments, provided personal equipment, and adjusted work tasks to reduce the risks associated with heat stress. Additionally, the group regularly conducts occupational safety seminars on workplace safety to raise employees' awareness of safety and health in extreme weather conditions.
